Refund Policy

1. Overview

We care deeply about your experience and want The Workshop Deck to feel genuinely useful.

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which you may request a refund for paid subscriptions or one-time purchases made through our The Workshop Deck web-based app (hereafter "the Service").

This Refund Policy is separate from (and does not replace) any mandatory consumer rights, including any right of withdrawal where applicable, which are described in our Terms of Service.

2. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

Please note that by using the Service immediately after purchase, you may be deemed to have waived your right of withdrawal for digital content. However, we honor refund requests made in good faith within the 14-day window as described in Section 4.

3. Free Plan

We offer a free plan that allows you to explore the core features of the Service before committing to a paid plan. We encourage you to take advantage of the free plan to evaluate whether the Service meets your needs before making a purchase.

4. Refunds We Will Provide (Where Applicable)

You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service. This applies to both first-time subscription purchases and one-time lifetime access purchases.

To be eligible for a refund, the request must be made within 14 days of the original purchase date. This is in line with the European Union's consumer protection regulations regarding the right of withdrawal.

We will provide refunds in the following cases:

  • Billing errors or duplicate charges: if you were charged incorrectly, we will correct the issue and refund any overpayment.
  • Non-delivery/no access after purchase: If you paid but did not receive access to the paid features, and we cannot fix access within a reasonable time, we will refund the amount paid (or provide another appropriate remedy).
  • Service not provided as agreed (technical defects): If the Service is not provided as described or has a technical issue that materially prevents you from using the paid features, please contact us with details. We will first try to resolve the issue (for example, support assistance, bug fix, restoring access). If we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time, we may offer: a full refund, a partial refund, or another appropriate remedy (such as extended access), depending on the circumstances and any mandatory rights that apply.
  • Unauthorized transactions: If you believe a purchase was made without your authorization, contact us immediately. We may ask for information to investigate. If we confirm the transaction was unauthorized and not caused by your negligence (e.g., sharing your credentials), we will provide an appropriate remedy in line with applicable law and payment-provider procedures.

5. Goodwill Refunds (Discretionary)

We want you to be happy with The Workshop Deck. In addition to any legal rights, we may offer a goodwill refund in limited cases, at our discretion.

As a general guideline, goodwill refunds may be considered when:

  • you purchased by mistake and contact us promptly; or
  • you experience an unexpected issue and we cannot reasonably resolve it; or
  • there are exceptional circumstances (case-by-case).

Goodwill refunds are not guaranteed, and we may decline a request where, for example:

  • you have substantially used the Service; or
  • the request is made long after purchase; or
  • the reason is a change of mind after access has been provided (where no withdrawal right applies); or
  • we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud, or policy abuse.

We normally only consider goodwill refund requests made within 14 days of purchase.

6. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will generally not be issued in the following cases:

  • Requests made more than 14 days after the purchase date
  • Subscription renewals (you may cancel before the renewal date to avoid future charges)
  • Failure to cancel a subscription before the next billing cycle
  • Dissatisfaction with features that were clearly described prior to purchase

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at theworkshopdeck@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your full name and email address used for the purchase
  • The date of purchase
  • The reason for your refund request
  • Any screenshots or details that help us investigate (for technical issues)

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

8. Cancellation of Subscriptions

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period;
  • No further charges will be made after the current billing period ends;
  • No partial refunds will be issued for the remaining days of a billing period.

9. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving any billing issues promptly and fairly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the suspension of your account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
